Depends: Different people have different caloric demands. Those in high intensity jobs may need more to compensate the loss, whereas those in sedentary jobs and the obese may need less. Normally, a ballpark number of 2000 kals/day is used for a healthy individual of normal weight and medium intensity daily activities.
