Am on topamax (topiramate) for almost one month and mr dr suspected my asthma is a side effect o topamax (topiramate). shal i stop it or it would be temporar as a side effect?

Rare : Can stop topomax per your dr to see if asthma goes away & see if comes back on when re-started. Did you have asthma or rad to begin? Can see rhinitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, cough, bronchitis, & dyspnea w/ topomax, especially at beginning of treatment & these seem to go away after a few weeks. True asthma would be rare & considered idiosyncratic.
