Coccydynia: Some people can have persistent pain after fractures. In your case you likely have something called coccydynia. There are different treatments which you should discuss with your doctor.

Bone pain...: Any broken bone - can have continued soreness for a long time, but the coccyx ( tail bone) - is different - it is even tougher to heal - guess why? - you sit on it - and in essence - "re-injure" it every time you sit down, but with enough time and no major re-injury - should calm down - eventually. . . .

Poor healing : When bones fracture and do not heal well chronic pain could set in, also post traumatic osteoarthritis. See your neurosurgeon for evaluation to rule any surgical condition.
