While it can affect otherwise healthy people, acanthosis nigricans is frequently found in individuals with Insulin disorders.Diabetes and Insulin resistance are two major causes of acanthosis nigricans. It is also found in individuals with addison disease, pituitarydisease, hypothyroidism.And others.
