A member asked:

Does propranolol, carbimazole , piriton or ferrous sulphate cause breathing problems? because i've been experiencing this since taking these drugs.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Propranolol: Propranol is a beta nerve blocker. Beta stimulating medications such as albuterol help open the airways. When the beta nerves are blocked by the propranol this can lead to worsening asthma/breathing problems. Carbimazole treats hyperthyroid, piriton is an antihistamine and ferrous sulfate iron all of which would cause minimal effect on breathing.
