Stress and fear: "stress and anxiety" are usually unpleasant experiences for people. Fear differs from anxiety. Fear is usually directed towards an external stimulus; anxiety can be a lingering, more diffiuse apprehension. Contrast the fear you might feel on suddenly seeing a rattlesnake in the trail when hiking, vs ongoing tension & worry that you can't quite name. Both are unpleasant & stressful!
