Sugar: Yes. It is very harmful. There is so much sugar there. You are not the only person in the world with this kind of obsession. And, with some fortitude you can stop this addiction. But, it takes effort and it is time to start that now.

Yes, very: The high sugar in sodas risks weight gain, Insulin resistance, and ultimately type 2 diabetes. So-called "diet" drinks aren't safe either -- there are associations between drinking them and risk of strokes. Having been through this myself, i can tell you it's very do-able to shift from colas to plain water, teas, and sparkling waters free of chemical poisons. It's hard at first, yet worth it!
