On average, how long does it take to get barrett's esophagus from untreated acid reflux?

Not all get it ,: Not all patients will get barrett's ulcer after gerd only few will get it, months or years of assault with on acid sensitive esophageal squamous , to premalignant columnar & glandular type of lining with 20 % of malignant transformation , need close follow up , to catch early and possible some type of ant-reflux procedure (surgery ) to prevent malignancy.
