Not from what I know: Ocd can be very difficult to treat successfully and that may create a feeling of hopelessness or a sense that it's either going to remain or not no matter what you do. Talk with a psychotherapist with experience in ocd to help you understand the condition better. I doubt that waiting it out is the best approach, but you'll have to decide. Just get all the information you can first.

OCD: Psychotherapy can be very helpful to treat ocd, if you do not have a therapist consult with a mental health professional who specializes in treating this type of anxiety problem. A number of my patients have learned to manage ocd quite effectively, commit yourself to the therapeutic process and you will likely benefit. My wishes.

OCD: Without psychotherapy, along with the zoloft, (sertraline) it could well persist indefinitely.
