Have strep for 12 days now. i have a lot of mucus. so much that i pulled thick strings out my nose & its yellow/brwn/red. cough up mucus. prescription not workin?

Sinusitis: I am assuming you had a positive throat culture and were put on an antibiotic for a strep throat. I think that you have developed a sinus infection now with a bacteria which is resistant to the antibiotic you are taking. I think you should contact you physician and discuss the option of changing to a different antibiotic.
