Unlikely alone: That dosage of citalopram is unlikely alone to cause muscle spasms/twitches, but in combination with other medications - especially those that affect serotonin also - it may contribute to it. I suggest a thorough review by a doctor of all your medications and any supplements you take - even herbal and over the counter medications.
