It may: It depends on the cause of your pain. Heat can be therapeutic since it can increase blood flow, decrease pain, decrease muscle tone. Heat therapy is generally used for chronic conditions, can help reduce muscle spasms.There are contraindications to use of hot baths, ie pregnancy, bleeding disorders, impaired sensation, and others. Be mindful of burns. Discuss with your md re risks/benefits.
