A member asked:

Is there a way to push my doctor to give me anti-depressants?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Do't: It's not the best to push people. Better to have a discussion about your symptoms & to ask if antidepressants might help. If so, which one. Your doc may want to do some testing or refer you to another specialist. The treatment of depression includes understanding it's origins, exercise, nutrition, psychotherapy, meditation, among other things. Don't sell yourself short w/a quick solution.
