Just be honest.: Although it can be painful for a parent to learn that their child is engaging in self harm - it is crucial that you tell your mother. Be candid. Show her where you cut yourself. Ask your mother to help get you into therapy. Your mother and you will both feel better about the situation if you are getting help & learning healthier ways to cope. Take care.
