Dehydration: Depending on how severe and what caused the dehydration. Fluids are the treatment of choice. If due to diarrhea or vomiting, often fluids like pediasure, gatorade, etc can help replace vital salts that are lost. If very severe, go to the emergency room for full evaluation.

Yes: I agree with dr fialkow. Important to determine and fix cause of dehydration. Oral hydration is as effective and safer than IV if you can keep fluids down.
