Depends: If you're symptoms are severe and interfering with your daily life, or if you have any neurologic deficits, such as numbness, weakness, or incontinence, you should definitely seek evaluation from a physician. If your pain is bothersome but tolerable without any neurologic component, you can try simple stretches and over the counter pain relievers.
