A member asked:

My pharmacy gave me my bc pills late. i got my per on the 22 my next one is july26 should i start my pills after my per or now it's july fourteen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Either way: If you start pills now, you may still get a period on the 26th (or around there) of july, or you may not. If you are using for pregnancy prevention, it's better to start now and have an irregular cycle, than to wait until you start your period and possibly get pregnant. Starting midcycle causes no harm, just possibly some bleeding at the typical time. Just complete the pack.
