Food and Pregnancy: Pregnancy has two very specific and scary risks that other humans do not usually have on a day to day basis and that is elevated blood sugars and elevated blood pressure. Monster energy drinks are nothing more than sugar and caffeine. These are empty calories that are not good for those prone to have blood sugar problems and not good for the caffeine induce elevation in blood pressure.
