Not abnormal: This usually signifies discharge of old blood from the lining of the uterus. If you think you may be pregnant get urine test strips from your friendly pharmacist. Would not worry unless this begins to happen with regularity, and then you can check and be examined by your ob/gyn doctor. Best.

Old blood: The brown discharge 3 days "after" your period is old blood from your period that was in the vagina and made a "late appearance"-normal.
