Dry air?: Dry air can sometimes make someone have nosebleeds. So can bleeding or clotting problems brought on by low or dysfunctional platelets, etc. Some medications and supplements can contribute to this. If it happened once and easily stopped on its own, this may be within the range of normal. Otherwise it warrants having some lab studies to make sure all is well.

Usually dry nose: Hard to say without knowing more of the medical history and medications. Dry nose is the most common cause. This can be helped by nasal saline sprays and ointment.
