Do you think i should take the gardisil vaccine?

Depends on variables: I believe the gardisil is approved for the 9-26 yr age group. This was the target group of the research and approval process but other ages would likely develop antibodies if used. It will not treat pre-existing hpv or prevent cancer for someone who has already acquired the strain. It is an expensive vaccine series and many insurers only cover it within a certain age group.

YouArePastTheAgeAnd: I will say you do not need HPV Vaccine at the age of 49. Reason is that the Vaccine is licenced in USA for ages 9 to 26 in females and is recommended to be given from 11 to 26 years in females and 11 to 21 in males. Also at 40 even if you find some one who agree to give you this vaccine it will not really be beneficial and secondly it is rather expensive vaccine and not be covered by insurance
