A member asked:

How can you suppress nerves before a speech?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Public speaking: Assume it is you giving the speech. In a pinch, then a doctor might prescribe you a very low dose of a beta-blocker to calm you, but try it before the speech to be sure it does not make you too altered or fuzzy to complete your thoughts. There are programs to help people who fear public speaking like toastmasters, and relaxation practices an also help but take time and commitment.
