How common is it for somebody to get sarcoma?

Not common: Sarcomas are not very common, they can occur in the soft-tissue or bones and every year about 12000-15000 cases occur in the USA.

Not common: Sarcomas are a broad definition of cancer including those of mesenchymal origin--those arising from bones and soft tissue (fat, muscle, etc.). They are much less common than carcinomas, which encompass most cancers people are family with (lung, breast, colon, etc.)
