A member asked:

Any good way to stay awake on my antibiotics?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Side effects: So, in general, antibiotics do not cause intense sleepiness. However, viral and bacterial illnesses have been associated with severe and disabling sleepiness. So actually the antibiotics may not be the source. Typically you want to listen to your body and take extra time to sleep. If this is affecting your daytime function, consider taking time off work/school and not drive while sleepy.
