Healthy meals: Spaghetti and turkey meatballs baked chicken with steamed vegetables sweet and sour turkey meatballs (one jar heinz chili sauce + one jar grape jelly) stir fry vegetables with teriyaki, rice and tofu (or other lean meat) bean and rice burritos with low fat tortillas (can add a lean protein - minimize cheese and sour cream to make it healthier) my 10 year old son has made all of the above!

Healthy meals: Many sources for teen cooks give pretty unhealthy recipes loaded with fats and carbs. Either avoid these or use them as a starting place for conversations about healthful eating and substitution of ingredients. Teenagers can compose salads, tacos, wraps, and can make easy soups and sandwiches. Pastas with vegetables can also be easy. And quinoa-based grain salads, or salads with wheatberries.
