Depends...: There's an old adage that says it's better to break something than sprain something, and that's basically because soft tissue injuries always take longer to heal. Make sure that you have been evaluated properly and that you have given your injury enough time to heal. Ask your doc about proper ankle bracing too. If it's more than 3 months from the time of injury, get re-evaluated.
