Tearing: If your eyes are wet or tearing (other than frank crying), it can be due to dryness. Dryness can occur with hormonal changes, environmental issues, medications. Sadness & weeping: Depression often brings with it some crying spells -- and the person may not know specifically "why" s/he is weeping. Sometimes this is soft tears, and other times quite vigorous crying. They are often more sensitive to emotion, perceived rejection, etc. There are helpful talk therapies and medications for depression, but you need an evaluation first. Eye exam if this is not what's happening.
