Variable: That is variable. It depends on diagnosis, symptoms and factors like if the person is a risk of harm to self or others, loss of touch with reality or inability to function. Your insurance company is also likely to have a say in the matter. You must meet admission criteria to be admitted and you must meet criteria to remain admitted.
