Unlikely: Venous distinction can be visible with volume overload, congestion, some anomalies, warm temperatures. Sometimes dilate with medications as well. Aneurysms are of arteries generally and very unusual in temporal arteries.

Temporal arteritis: If you have severe pain along the superficial temporal artery in the temple, have your md check for temporal arteritis. This is an inflammation of branches of the external carotid, patients usually have a high sedimentation rate. Aneurysms are inside the skullbone and therefore, you would unlikely feel them the way you do with your current area of tenderness.
