Yes: Orajel is designed specifically to numb the soft tissues inside your mouth. It's not very effective for tooth pain, however. You should remember that any sore or pain which doesn't resolve within a few days could be something serious and should be examined by a dentist or ent. Orajel is not designed for long-term use, but only for short-term pain relief of minor sores, blisters, etc.
