What would be recommended to take care of an anal skin tag?

Have it snipped off: Under local anesthesia by your family doctor, proctologist (if you can still find a practicing one), or colorectal surgeon. This is not something you can self-treat, nor should you. Even though it's a truly simple quick procedure, if it gets infected you have big trouble, so let an expert do it and follow up appropriately!

Have your: Family doctor snip it off, after numbing it... Or refer you to a general surgeon.
