Usually not: The sedating effect of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may get a little better with time, but will not likely totally go away. There are many non-sedating antihistamines and allergy medications out there, so i suggest talking to your local pharmacist or your primary care doctor about over the counter or prescription alternatives.
