Unusual periods with severe pain and flu like symptoms.....

How are they unusual: Bleeding patterns with the menstrual cycle say a lot about what may be wrong in terms of hormones or fibroids or other issues that could be going on. Flu like symptoms aren't typically associated with one's uterus, however before a menstrual cycle women can get body aches and bloating due to elevated hormone levels. If you are having absence of menses or bleeding more than once a month, see md.

Severe pain: Severe pain that is unusual for your "normal" period needs to be evaluated by your ob/gyn.
