It can be...: ...Something as minor as gas or as serious as appendicitis, an abnormal pregnancy, or a sexually transmitted illness. You can wait a couple of days and see what happens (maybe you have a little stomach bug that will run its course), but if the pain gets much more severe, if you develop fevers or vomiting or difficulty walking, then seek immediate medical attention.
