Could be either: There is a lot of overlap between premenstrual symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms. Even light bleeding around the time of an expected period can occur with pregnancy. A home pregnancy test and/or a blood test at your doctor's office may help clear things up. After testing, if you are pregnant or still have unexplained symptoms consult your doctor.
