Fluids, fiber: First make sure she is getting enough fluids. At 11 months, you can back off slightly on her formula intake and replace those fluids with water of diluted juice (like prune or apple) since she is constipated. Otherwise juice not needed at this age. Then, make sure you give high fiber foods. Fruits and veggies, and whole grains - multigrain breads and pasta rather than white bread, etc.

Watch the cereal: A kid at this age doesn't need much in the way of solids but there are some you should avois.Applesauce, bananas and rice cereal constipate, and the effect is volume related.The "p's " make you poop; prunes, plumbs, peaches and juices made from them.Applejuice can also loosen stools.
