Abnormal Bleeding: The "normal" period is usually a few days apart every 28 days or so of each month at the same time. However, variations exists: for you this might be "normal" but if you had been regular and now you had a two day interruption then there is a reason yet it might not be of grave concern. The very first thing to do is to determine if there has been or is, a pregnancy. Review this with your doctor.

Menses irregular: Minor changes in the pattern of menstrual bleeding may occur for a wide variety of reasons, very few of them needing medical attention assuming they are self-limited. If this recurs repeatedly you may want to go and see a gynecologist. Best wishes.
