Scientific Rx: He needs to get with his physician now; begin topical benzoyl peroxide while he is waiting. His physician will decide whether to go with topical clindamycin, topical retinoic acid derivative, or a systemic antibiotic. If only on the face, he is unlikely to require isotretinoin. I'm sorry that whoever is responsible for his health has not taken the initiative to have him treated. Glad you asked.
