? Carpal tunnel: Burning pain is usually associated with nerves. You may have carpal tunnel syndrome. You will need to see a neurologist who will perform an emg/nct to confirm the diagnosis and the severity of the nerve compression and then be referred to a hand surgeon for treatment. There are some non-surgical causes of paresthesia that your primary care will investigate and treat.

Nerve issue: That's a long time without a diagnosis. Typically a nerve issue, the question would be exactly what, whether carpal tunnel syndrome or some related peripheral nerve issue or something more central i.E neck. A good history and exam should help sort things out. Good luck.
