Burning sensation: It may be compression of a nerve that innervates the hand muscles, such as of the median, ulnar, or radial nerves. Carpal tunnel syndrome is an example. However, your doctor will need to examine you to make a more accurate diagnosis since the nerves innervate different muscles of the hand. Then a treatment plan can be made. Sometimes further evaluation is needed, such as with an emg/ncs.
