Possible fungus: Tinea versicolor could have that appearance. It is a common superficial fungal infection. Check back as well. Selsun lotion or topical anti-fungal ointments could be tried. Consider looking at overall life style. Eat healthy, exercise, get 20 minutes of sunshine vit d, and a good night sleep.
