A member asked:

Whats the difference between a regular cpap sleep study & a tritration (?) cpap sleep study?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Initial study and CP: A sleep study is initially done to see if the patient has sleep apnea. If the patient has obstructive sleep apnea the patient is advised to have a study with CPAP to assess the best pressure to treat it with. The pressures are adjusted to eliminate the apneas (stop breathing) and to improve the patient's oyxgen saturation to keep it at or above 88%.
