Ask the pediatrician: A good pharmacist may also give you some guidance. A one year old is still very delicate, so don't use anything not indicated for infants. Use very soft wipes and tepid clean water. Allow air exposure as possible & frequent changes so avoid irritation from urine. If it looks even a bit infected, let a doctor take a look.
