Diuretics: Diuretics are used to assist people in heart failure or with severe hypertension to pee off excess fluids that their heart is having a hard time clearing. In no way do these medications cause one to increase their metabolism or to lose weight. It is a dangerous myth and a lie if anyone tells you otherwise.
