A few things..: At night our hearts tend to slow down. If pts have sleep apnea it may cause the heart to misfire and arrythimias can occur. The bending over symptoms sound suspicious for orthostatic hypotension or vasodepressor syndrome. I would suggest a full and complete history and physical( if not done lately), also include labs , 2 d echo, holter, and tilt table test. Depending on the results a sleep study.

Palpitations: Symptoms are suggestive of an abnormal heart rhythm usually svt based on your age. Bending over can cause premature beats which initiate the abnormal rhythm and it can commonly occur at night/at rest. It can be an increased sensitivity to a normal/fast normal heart rhythm. Obtain a monitor from your md to determine if an abnormal heart rhythm is present that may need to be treated.
