Ultrasound: Very reliable testing is available. Dvt in lower extremities is rare unless there is substantial swelling. Warm legs are not the major symptom.

Ultrasound: An ultrasound of the veins of her legs is the only sure way to tell if she has a dvt. If she has swelling she should see a vascular vein specialist.
