Possible: Anxiety is a general symptom indicating problems in a person's world. Some kids are anxious by nature, and others become anxious due to environment and circumstance. A littlle anxiety is not unusual, but if it is interfering with your son's well-being and his ability to take care of daily acitivities, then it needs to be checked out.

Yes, perhaps: Especially, if his anxiety is incapacitating. If he can't do what he needs to do, that's a problem. In the case of someone with panic disorder with agoraphobia, the person may refuse the leave the house, go to school or other places, as they are afraid they will have a panic attack there.
