Could Be Grinding: When people grind or clench their teeth, they can become sensitive. Also, if you find some abrasion along the gumline, it could also be due to over-aggressive brushing. I like to tell my patients to "tickle their teeth to death, don't scrub them like the kitchen sink.".

Is the sensitivity: More on the upper teeth? If so could be sinus related. Best to be checked out by your dentist or physician. Hope this helps.

Could be anything: Sudden tooth sensitivity could be from almost anything. It's best to see your dentist as soon as possible to determine what is causing it, and how best to relieve or treat it. Without actually seeing you in person we can only take guesses as to the cause and relying on our 'guesses' may well get you in trouble if we are wrong.
