Have extreme lower back pain. i've already taken aleve. can i supplement with tylenol (acetaminophen)? also, what's better, an ice pack or heat? thanks

Yes and depends: Aleve is not a contraindication to tylenol (acetaminophen). However, each medication has the potential to cause side effects. Yes... Depends: You can take tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain with aleve. Ice helps new onset pain whereas heat is usually better for chronic pain (pain that's been around for a while). If you have severe pain, see your doctor about it and good luck.
