A member asked:

Second uti in one month? does this mean anything in particular or could it just be for usual reasons such as sex or diet?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: It could mean a number of things. First of all, was the second UTI cultured to see if it was drug resistant strain. If you have sex, urinating afterwards help reduce the risk of a uti. Being a diabetic with elevated blood sugars increases the incidence of utis. You may also want to have a pelvic exam to rule out others processes. Also when urinating, wipe front to back to prevent utis.
